Department of Premier and Cabinet NSW | Government | 894 | $2.5B | Australia | ServiceNow | ServiceNow ITSM | IT Service Management | 2017 | In 2017 Department of Premier and Cabinet NSW implemented ServiceNow ITSM as part of a GovConnect program to deliver centralized IT Service Management across agencies, deploying ServiceNow ITSM to support agency IT portals and service workflows. The rollout was executed under the IT Service Management category and was part of a multi-agency transition coordinated by the Department of Finance and Innovation and Unisys. The implementation of ServiceNow ITSM consolidated a new user portal and service catalogue and implemented core ITSM modules, asset discovery, event management, Automation using ITOM Orchestration, a CMP for hybrid cloud, and billing and reporting delivered via Power BI. The program was delivered as a $2 million project and explicitly delivered ServiceNow ITSM capabilities including the portal, service catalogue, ITSM modules, discovery and event management. Unisys worked with the Department of Finance and Innovation and Dimension Data to transition agency IT portal services from Remedy to ServiceNow ITSM, and to implement underlying network and SD-WAN changes required for agency relocations. Network changes accepted into supporting systems included DHCP configuration, firewall and routing updates, Wireless LAN Controller tuning, Network WAN support, LAN network switch adjustments and Call Manager changes, reflecting an integrated infrastructure and ITSM delivery effort. Governance and delivery were structured around multi-disciplinary teams led by Unisys, including business analysts, architects, engineers, change managers and test managers, operating with virtual teams and Scrum methodology. The workstreams were coordinated to engage business leaders, define phased success criteria for scope, quality, budget and time, and to manage integrations and multiple concurrent project streams across GovConnect agencies including NSW Treasury, Service NSW, DFSI, NSW Fair Trading, Industrial Relations, Barangaroo Delivery Authority, Corporate Services, Department of Premier and Cabinet, IPART, the Office of the Secretary and the Telco Authority. |
