Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2021 2021
In 2021 Scotiabank implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to support core ERP Financial processes across its business banking order to cash and general ledger operations. The engagement centered on the Oracle Cloud ERP Financial module as the system of record for invoicing, receivables posting, and GL validation within Order to Cash flows. Configuration work focused on Order to Cash orchestration, invoice generation workflows, APX and UPX posting file creation, and GL reporting. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to consume structured invoice artifacts and posting files, and to participate in batch job processing and report generation consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns. Integrations included a bespoke event based microservices pricing and invoicing engine that calculates fees for cash management products and forwards invoice and posting artifacts into the Financial module of Oracle Cloud ERP. The implementation covered data mapping and data transformation rules between multiple systems and APIs using interoperability standards, including generation of JSON and XML invoice files and downstream file delivery for further processing. Cash management and payments domain workflows mentioned include bulk cheque deposits, cheque image transfer, electronic funds transfer, Bulk Interac, wires, and Scotia Connect for business banking customers. Governance and delivery practices emphasized business analysis, requirements definition, user story creation, and product backlog grooming to validate APX and UPX posting files and GL reports. The team coordinated invoice generation from JSON and XML through to downstream processing and validated general ledger accounts, and the work identified areas of improvement that produced substantial business outcomes.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2018 2019
In 2018 Scotiabank implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits to centralize benefits eligibility and enrollment as part of its Benefits Administration tooling. The engagement positioned SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits as the primary benefits configuration layer within the bank's HR application footprint, providing a controlled system of record for benefit plan definitions and enrollment workflows. The deployment encompassed Employee Central core HR constructs, Pension MDF configuration and Global Benefits-specific configuration for eligibility rules, enrollment event processing and benefits data modeling. Configuration work included workflow orchestration for enrollment and life event handling, data model extension for pension and benefits attributes, and rule-driven eligibility and plan assignment consistent with Benefits Administration functional terminology. Integrations were executed with the bank's payroll and HR data infrastructure, including explicit integration touch points to SAP Payroll, HR Data Bridge and HR Data lake, and orchestration with external systems such as time and attendance Workforce Software WFS. Data migration and interface work used Informatica and ETL practices, and the effort included data interface, data migration testing and middle layer validation to maintain benefit entitlement alignment across downstream reporting and payroll reconciliation flows. Program governance emphasized structured QA and testing disciplines under the GHRT project and dedicated QA leads. Testing and quality controls included test strategy and planning, functional, regression and negative testing, integration testing, ETL and Informatica testing, performance analysis, defect tracking with HP ALM, and user acceptance testing to validate Employee Central EC, Pension MDF and connected HR data flows. Requirement walkthroughs and vendor management were part of the operational governance model to ensure benefits configuration met enterprise requirements.

Finastra Legacy Finastra Misys Bankfusion Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2011 2012
In 2011, Scotiabank implemented Finastra Misys Bankfusion as its Core Banking solution. The implementation encompassed a Treasury Management System project that ran alongside work on the MISYS OPICS system and FATCA requirements, aligning Bankfusion with treasury and trade floor operations. The deployment included a TMS module and integrated reporting capabilities built on SQL Server Reporting Services, with UI components developed using Infragistics and custom Excel templates scripted in VBScript to import XML. Report outputs were produced in PDF, XML, Excel and text formats, and the reporting set covered treasury and market risk use cases such as Risk(VAR) Reporting, USD portfolio Spread, Interest Accrual Analysis, Cash Flow Forecast, Investment Portfolio Limit, REPO holdings outstanding, EXIM DEP confirmation, DWB/ICA/Repo Limit and General Ledger reconciliation. The technical architecture combined .Net 3.0 and 3.5 application components, SQL Server 2008 and 2012 databases, WebSphere 8.5 and IIS7.0 hosting, with development and lifecycle tools including Visual Studio 2008, MS BIDS, VSS2005 and TFS2012. Finastra Misys Bankfusion was integrated into operational workflows used by SCTL Bahamas and BNS Trade Floor Market Risk Management, feeding cashflow, interest accrual and portfolio limit data into downstream accounting and risk processes. Development and maintenance were executed with an outsourcing team model focused on iterative fixes and enhancements to the TMS, governed through source control and BI tool pipelines. Operational ownership was concentrated in treasury and market risk functions, with governance activities oriented to report generation, XML data loading via Excel templates and ticket based bug resolution.
