| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 ADNOC implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment established a single digital finance platform aligned to Strategy 2030 and consolidated financial processes across all 14 operating units to provide enterprise-wide visibility and control.
SAP S/4 HANA was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities including financial consolidation, real-time general ledger processing, accounts payable and receivable workflows, and planning and close functions. Implementation emphasis was placed on master data harmonization and a unified chart of accounts to enable consolidated reporting and streamlined month-end and planning cycles.
The SAP S/4 HANA implementation integrated finance with operational and asset data across ADNOC’s operating units, enabling real-time data visualization and optimization opportunities that supported predictive maintenance and improved operational efficiency. Operational coverage spanned corporate finance and the finance touchpoints embedded in operating unit workflows to ensure finance-led decision signals were available to operational teams.
Governance changes centered on a centralized finance operating model, standardized processes, and data governance to support cross-unit reporting and program oversight within Strategy 2030. SAP S/4 HANA also supported ADNOC’s broader sustainability and CCUS initiatives by providing consolidated financial visibility and a platform to track and align ESG program investments with operational optimization.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, ADNOC implemented SAP HCM (HR) to centralize Core HR processes for its Al Hosn Gas operations in Abu Dhabi, aligning Employee Relations and Human Capital functions across UAE national and expatriate workforces. The deployment positioned SAP HCM (HR) as the primary system for personnel lifecycle management, covering onboarding through resignation and termination workflows.
Configuration work focused on Personnel Administration and Payroll, with explicit customization of Personnel Management in SAP HCM to handle salary and benefit administration, allowances, deductions, merit and promotional increments, and final settlement processing. The implementation included enhancements to the Employee Self Service Portal and partial process automation, introducing workflow-driven approvals for salary reviews and authorization checks.
Operational coverage spanned coordination with ADNOC group companies for secondments and transfer formalities, and monthly payroll input provisioning for multiple business lines within the group. The SAP HCM (HR) rollout interfaced with existing HC systems to communicate business requirements for workflow implementations and ESS enhancements, while supporting reporting needs with weekly, monthly and quarterly outputs to Human Capital Division management.
Governance and process changes were embedded alongside the technical implementation, with HR policy and procedure development for staff payments, supervised salary administration to ensure eligibility and authorization, and structured investigative and disciplinary processes managed through the system. The SAP HCM (HR) deployment also supported coaching, training needs identification and annual training plan workflows, and ensured exit formalities and final settlement calculations complied with UAE Labor law provisions.

| Honeywell Forge | Legacy | Honeywell Forge Asset Performance Management | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, ADNOC selected Honeywell Forge Asset Performance Management under a 10 year contract as part of its Centralized Predictive Analytics and Diagnostics program, CPAD, embedding Asset Performance Management capabilities into its Oil & Gas 4.0 agenda. The deployment was scoped as one of the largest predictive maintenance initiatives in the oil and gas industry, targeting upstream and downstream equipment health across all ADNOC Group companies and centralizing oversight for up to 2,500 critical rotating assets.
The implementation deployed Honeywell Forge Asset Monitor and Predictive Analytics capabilities, leveraging machine learning and digital twin models for continuous online equipment monitoring. Configuration emphasized embedded data science and simulation tools within the Honeywell Forge Asset Performance Management platform to support automated anomaly detection, remaining useful life estimation, and predictive alerting workflows for operators and maintenance teams.
Operationally the solution was provisioned at ADNOCs Panorama Command Center in Abu Dhabi, integrating with the Panorama Digital Command Center environment that aggregates real time data and smart analytical models. This central monitoring architecture unified telemetry and condition monitoring feeds from distributed facilities, enabling centralized diagnostics and cross asset benchmarking across ADNOC subsidiaries.
Governance and process changes were driven by the CPAD program and ADNOCs 2030 Strategy, shifting maintenance practices from reactive and preventative approaches to a predictive maintenance operating model. The rollout emphasized operator and maintenance user workflows for early fault identification, decision support for overhaul extension programs, and standardized playbooks for incident triage using the Honeywell Forge Asset Performance Management platform.
Expected outcomes stated in the program included reduced unplanned maintenance, increased equipment reliability, higher uptime and improved safety, with the platform anticipated to generate significant yearly savings through predictive analytics. The implementation is described as a scalable enterprise platform intended to accelerate time to value for ADNOC engineers while supporting ongoing Oil & Gas 4.0 initiatives.
