In 2008, Affirma implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise in an ERP Financial deployment. The system served as the core financial ledger and reporting application for the finance organization, supporting creation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Income Statement reporting.
Configuration emphasized standard financial modules, including the general ledger and transaction posting workflows, with a chart of accounts structured to support revenue, cost of goods sold and expense tracking. Affirma conducted financial analyses and used Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise alongside Power Query and Pivot Tables to extract, transform and visualize transactional data, producing consolidated reports and month-to-month analyses. Those analyses focused on revenue, COGS and expense trend lines and supported routine accounting and FP&A review cycles.
Operational scope centered on the finance and accounting functions within the professional services firm, with a recurring monthly reporting cadence for Profit & Loss and trend analysis. Governance incorporated structured report generation and review processes that combined QuickBooks exports with Power Query transformations and Pivot Table models, formalizing the analytic workflow for month-to-month variance and trend assessment. Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise remained the named application for core ERP Financial reporting and month-over-month financial analysis.
