In 2020, Airstreams Renewables implemented Quickbase, the Apps Development platform, to centralize instructor and training data for its education programs. The deployment was executed with partner VeilSun, with VeilSun consultant Ben Larrabee collaborating with Airstreams' Rick Gould on application design and configuration.
The Quickbase application was configured to support Professional Development workflows and to record training qualifications and session data, using form-driven data capture, reporting, and record-level access controls to support daily operational use. Configuration work focused on database tables for qualification status, session histories, and document attachments, combined with configurable notifications to orchestrate instructor and administrator workflows.
Operational scope centers on the training function, supporting instructors and staff who process information and save training data for Veteran students pursuing Wind and Telecommunication Technician roles. The implementation is managed as a centralized Quickbase application hosted and administered through the partner engagement, with active hands-on support and iterative adjustments provided by VeilSun.
Governance and enablement emphasized on-the-job training and knowledge transfer, with VeilSun delivering screen share sessions, email and phone support, and direct coaching so non-technical staff can maintain and extend the application. Users report Quickbase made them more effective and efficient at processing information and recording training qualifications, and staff characterize the Quickbase application as an essential tool in Airstreams Renewables' operational toolbox.
