beqom Legacy beqom Compensation Management Compensation Management HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Allied Irish Banks implemented beqom Compensation Management to centralize pay governance and reward administration across HR and finance functions. The beqom Compensation Management deployment was introduced into AIB's SAP-centric environment to support Compensation Management workflows for merit, bonus and variable pay planning and to provide controlled budget and approval orchestration for reward programs. The implementation delivered core compensation capabilities including pay cycle orchestration, configurable approval workflows, compensation statements and budget controls, with role based access for HR business partners and finance approvers. beqom Compensation Management was configured to interoperate with the bank's SAP HR landscape including Payroll and time related processes, and to coexist alongside other HR systems referenced in the environment such as SuccessFactors, Hadoop based data stores, Fuel50, Global Force, Cornerstone and OpenText for talent, data and content exchange. On the technical side the solution was deployed within AIB's existing SAP architecture and integrated into financial data flows that include Coupa, Abinitio and the enterprise data warehouse for budget and cost reporting. The project followed an Agile Ways of Working framework in a hybrid delivery model and progressed through the Prepare, Explore, Build, Test, Go Live and Production support phases, with design workshops held between HR stakeholders, IT architects and program managers to convert business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Governance was formalized through collaboration between Business Process Owners, IT leadership, project managers and external vendors, with structured testing, business continuity planning and vendor/security audit controls applied during rollout and production support. Operational coverage emphasized HR reward, payroll interfacing and finance reconciliation, and the program included ongoing release, support and incident management processes to maintain integrated compensation and payroll data flows.

In 2011, Allied Irish Banks implemented Oracle Flexcube as its Core Banking platform. AIB's Senior Manager, IT Adrian Hall noted that FLEXCUBE is part of the bank's Core Banking system and that the platform's new release demonstrated Oracle's ongoing product innovation. The implementation leveraged Oracle FLEXCUBE 12.0 functionality to extend sales and self-service across online, mobile, ATM and branch banking, delivering spend analysis, alerts and reminders across portfolios. The deployment included enhanced mobile banking applications for iPhone, iPad and Java ME devices, real-time offers and location-based coupons for personalised customer engagement, and expanded assisted-channel support to enable assisted transactions across digital channels. Operational capabilities implemented included built-in analytics and relationship management support to map an enterprise-wide customer view, role-based business dashboards to surface high-priority revenue generating tasks for bankers, and a new interactions framework that consolidates customer interactions into a 360-degree view. The release also introduced Oracle FLEXCUBE Open Development Tools, including the Oracle FLEXCUBE Development Workbench for Mobile and Direct Banking, to create, modify and test user interfaces, business logic and integrations with a one-time development, multi-device deployment model. Architecturally the solution was delivered with expanded out-of-the-box integration to other Oracle products, specifically built-in integration with Oracle ATG Web Commerce for click-to-chat assisted transactions and integration with Oracle Real-Time Decisions for customer profiling and targeted offers.
