In 2014 AMAG deployed Serrala FinanceSuite as an AP Automation platform to centralize payment processing and cash application workflows across its finance organization. The Serrala FinanceSuite implementation focused on automated reading of bank files and ISR payments, and it served as the primary engine for orchestrating payment postings into SAP Autobank and downstream accounting records.
The deployment configured modules for bank file ingestion, payment reconciliation, exception and clarification handling, and WIR account management. Functional capabilities implemented included automated matching to individual debtors, balancing of accounts, settlements and statement generation, and orchestration of paying out accounts receivable alongside processing internal accident damage claims.
Integrations were explicitly centered on SAP Autobank for processing bank payments and posting financial entries, with bidirectional flows to support clarifications and settlement updates. Operational responsibility spanned accounts receivable, cash management, accounts payable activities related to payouts, and legal collections workflows, with the Serrala FinanceSuite acting as the transaction hub between banks and SAP.
Governance and operationalization emphasized standardized workflows for exception resolution, maintenance of debtor master data, and structured correspondence with customers regarding incoming payments. The implementation also included support for Italian and German translations for project-level communications and legal debt collection processes, ensuring multilingual handling within finance and collections operations.
