Governance and process changes accompanied the technical deployment, with centralized invoice processing controls, documented approval SLAs, and defined exception resolution workflows to enforce compliance and reduce cycle time. As a result American Red Cross reduced their invoice cycle from thirty days to five after deploying SAP Concur Invoice, demonstrating a significant compression of invoice processing lead time.

Operational coverage centered on HR Shared Services and HR Field Operations, where the project consolidated more than 40 ADP pay groups into two centralized pay groups, simplifying pay group governance and downstream processing. The program included Employee Service Center setup and implementation with Alight Solutions and explicit vendor and client relationship management responsibilities to coordinate service delivery and technical handoffs.
Governance changes included establishing metrics and reporting systems to track SLAs, formal vendor management and contract oversight, and documented standard operating procedures for transactional HR work. Documented outcomes from the project include successful implementation of Workday Compensation, consolidation of pay groups, reduction of HR Shared Services headcount from over 30 to 12, management of vendor SLAs, and reductions in variable expenses through contract renegotiations.
