The implementation delivered Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations configured to support core financial management workflows and Sycor.Rental to provide rental-specific capabilities, creating an ERP Financial environment tailored to rental operations. The program intentionally avoided customizations, following the CEO’s direction for a standard configuration approach, and Schor.Rental was used to provide specialized rental functionality within the Dynamics 365 framework.
Deployment covered multiple physical sites including Walton KY, Evansville IN, Memphis TN, Louisville KY, and Kansas City KS, with operational management centralized at the Walton head office. The rollout included 23 named users across all locations and moved data and processes from Excel and Intuit QuickBooks Online into the unified Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and Sycor.Rental environment.
SYCOR acted as the implementation partner and the project used shortened sprint cycles and high user participation in training meetings to accelerate adoption. The go-live occurred on July 1, 2019, six months after project start, one month ahead of schedule, and the project completed at 12 percent below the calculated budget, with zero customizations and full-location coverage at launch.
