In 2023 Ameritas implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform. The migration replaced Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and went live in January 2023.
Implementation scope was managed by Ameritas IT Shared Services and covered core finance and accounting functions, plus adjacent business areas such as HR, benefits, payroll, actuarial, marketing for example Yammer, legal, audit and compliance tools. The deployment targeted centralized financial management and the consolidation of transactional financial processes across the company.
Configuration focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets, procurement and financial reporting with period close automation and configurable controls consistent with corporate compliance requirements. Oracle Cloud ERP was provisioned to support accounting close workflows and financial data consolidation used by corporate finance and accounting teams.
The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment was coordinated alongside an actuarial platform migration, with Prophet being migrated to a PMCS cloud managed environment, requiring interface planning between actuarial outputs and the new ERP financial ledgers. Interfaces and cutover activities included transactional handoffs for payroll, benefits and other HR related financial feeds, as well as integration touchpoints for audit and compliance reporting.
Governance and rollout accountability remained with the IT Shared Services Manager who led support for business users during the January 2023 go live and managed change control, user support escalation and ongoing operational ownership for finance, accounting and adjacent functions. The implementation centralized support functions to sustain Oracle Cloud ERP operations across Ameritas business units.

In 2021, Ameritas deployed FIS Relius within its BlueStar Retirement Services unit. The engagement targeted Benefits Administration,Pension Administration workloads to support retirement plan recordkeeping and plan sponsor services across Ameritas's retirement business.
The FIS Relius implementation included core modules for plan setup and configuration, participant recordkeeping, contribution and distribution processing, compliance testing, and participant communications. Configuration work emphasized plan-specific eligibility rules, vesting schedules, and contribution calculation rules, aligned to recordkeeping workflows typical for pension and benefits platforms.
Integrations referenced in the engagement included PlanConnect for plan data exchange and onboarding. The deployment also accommodated standard plan ecosystem interfaces such as payroll and HRIS feeds, trustee and custodian file exchanges, and electronic participant statements, implemented through Relius configuration and data mapping.
Governance and operationalization were managed within Ameritas BlueStar Retirement Services, with an Implementation Specialist role documented from Jan 2021 to Jan 2023 overseeing configuration, testing, and rollout coordination. Change control, acceptance testing cycles, and participant service transition activities were instrumented to move administrative processing onto FIS Relius and to stabilize benefits administration operations.

In 2021, Ameritas implemented Roper iPipeline SSG Digital to support application processing, new business intake, and underwriting workflows for its independent distribution channel in North America. The deployment focused on integrating iGO e-App and Maestro Self-Service components to provide digital application capture and producer self service capabilities within the Insurance Policy Administration footprint.
The implementation included iGO e-App for electronic application submission and Maestro Self-Service for producer and consumer interactions, both delivered as modules of Roper iPipeline SSG Digital. The broader Insurance Policy Administration capabilities of SSG Digital were applied to support policy lifecycle tasks such as new business routing, underwriting case management, document orchestration, and data validation workflows.
Ameritas integrated the platform with Swiss Re’s Magnum Pure to automate underwriting data exchange and illustration related services, tying front end intake to third party underwriting decisioning. Operational coverage targeted the independent distribution channel across North America and affected distribution support, new business operations, underwriting, and sales enablement functions.
Governance emphasized workflow orchestration across the e-App, Maestro Self-Service, and the Magnum Pure underwriting engine, with business rules and routing configured to standardize intake and case handling. The deployment aimed to accelerate processing, lower operational costs, and improve the financial professional and consumer experience, and additional policy administration capabilities are inferred as part of the broader SSG Digital platform.
