In 2010, Corticeira Amorim implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Prodware served as the implementation partner for the deployment, which focused on establishing a core ERP Financial backbone for the manufacturing firm headquartered in Portugal with a compact, centralized IT footprint.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support core financial modules consistent with ERP Financial functionality, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales order processing and invoicing. Configuration emphasized transactional invoicing structures and master data alignment to ensure consistent financial posting and commercial record keeping across the organization.
The NAV instance was linked with Microsoft Dynamics CRM to feed commercial activity and invoicing data from the ERP into the CRM, enabling near real-time commercial information flow to sales users. This integration aligned finance and commercial workflows, allowing sales and customer follow-up to consume ERP-originated sales and invoicing events directly within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Governance was placed under joint IT and finance ownership, with the IT manager Carlos Antunes describing the effort as intended to inject ERP sales and invoicing information into CRM for customer follow-up and commercial visibility. The implementation therefore centralized transactional financial control in Microsoft Dynamics NAV while operationally extending commercial insight to the sales organization through the integrated CRM feed.
