This centralized architecture enabled consistent reporting and law firm evaluation workflows.
Governance changes included the introduction of metrics, reports and dashboards to level set and provide ongoing feedback, and enforcement of company business processes and billing guidelines through system workflows. ADM increased use of fixed fee and other alternative fee arrangements, and reduced outside legal spend by more than one third, outcomes documented by the company. The program combined technology, process re engineering and change management to create repeatable operational processes for the legal organization.
