Asurion Australia implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP Financial platform to consolidate finance operations for the Australian business, with the Senior Manager, Finance Strategy & Projects acting as chief technology advisor reporting directly to the CFO.
The implementation focused on standard ERP Financial functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash and bank management, statutory and management reporting, and month end close workflows. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to support finance process orchestration and period close controls consistent with enterprise financial management practices.

Operational coverage centered on the finance organization and related accounting functions for Asurion Australia, aligning chart of accounts, transactional flows, and reporting structures to the new platform.
Governance for the rollout was structured through a finance stream project management office reporting into the CFO, with responsibilities including requirements specification, configuration governance, change control, testing coordination, and cutover planning. The Senior Manager role tied technology decisions back to finance strategy while driving the Finance stream of the Dynamics AX 2009 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations upgrade from April 2018 onward.
