In 2016, ATS implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud as its core ERP Financial system. The deployment established a cloud-based finance foundation for ATS's global manufacturing organization, covering finance operations across more than 60 facilities and 80 offices on five continents and supporting approximately 7,000 employees.
The SAP S/4HANA Cloud configuration emphasized finance and accounting capabilities consistent with the ERP Financial category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial close and management accounting, alongside intercompany transaction controls and statutory reporting workflows. Implementation activities concentrated on harmonizing financial master data and configuring core finance modules to support consolidated accounting and consistent close processes across ATS business units.
Integrations were implemented with SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite to centralize employee master data through SuccessFactors Employee Central and with SAP Concur for expense management, enabling a unified flow of workforce and expense information into the finance system. Governance and process changes focused on centralizing finance process ownership, harmonizing the chart of accounts and standardizing financial workflows across global entities to support consistent accounting practices and compliance.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, ATS implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to centralize and automate pay planning across its global workforce. The deployment targeted Compensation Management as part of a broader move to the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite, positioning SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as the compensation planning and total rewards engine linked to core HR data.
The implementation included configuration of compensation planning workflows, eligibility and merit rules, and cycle orchestration consistent with Compensation Management best practices. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to consume employee master data and job structures from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, enabling standardized pay processes and role-based access to compensation planning and approvals.
Integrations were established within the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite, with SAP SuccessFactors Compensation connected to Employee Central for population and eligibility logic, and the suite architecture designed to simplify downstream integration with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Concur as part of ATSs overall HR and finance landscape. Operational coverage spanned HR and talent management functions tied to recruiting, onboarding, performance, learning, and compensation across ATSs more than 60 facilities and 80 offices on five continents.
Governance shifted from manual, paper-based processes to system-driven cycles, centralized data stewardship, and standardized approval workflows to support global consistency. The move enabled new hires to gain benefits and learning access on day one, improved visibility into turnover and time-to-fill metrics, and supported emerging initiatives such as skills matrices and succession planning to protect institutional knowledge.
