In 2019, Attica Group implemented SAP S/4 HANA in a greenfield ERP Financial deployment. The engagement included a lead SAP technical consultant who designed and sized the new SAP S/4 HANA landscape, specifying high availability and disaster recovery topology, and who led the internal SAP and Infrastructure teams through technical activities.
The implementation concentrated on core financial accounting and controlling capabilities consistent with SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial, aligning general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and financial close orchestration to the new architecture. Configuration work emphasized the S/4 HANA data model and simplified finance process flows to leverage the platform's in-memory transaction and reporting characteristics.
Operational scope centered on IT infrastructure and corporate finance functions within Attica Group, with internal SAP and Infrastructure teams responsible for provisioning, sizing and HA/DR validation of the landscape. The technical lead coordinated system-level activities across server, storage and database layers to ensure compatibility with SAP S/4 HANA platform requirements.
Governance was organized around internal technical ownership, with the SAP technical lead directing technical cutover tasks and coordinating testing and deployment activities between SAP BASIS, infrastructure operations and finance application owners. The implementation established a defined technical governance model for ongoing operations and incident escalation tied to the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial landscape.
