The initiative was managed from Ave Spa headquarters in Brescia, Italy, where a project manager and senior analyst led information system maintenance and the initial configuration of accounting modules within smeup ERP. Configuration work focused on accounting and transactional finance modules inside smeup ERP, while parallel analysis addressed logistics flow to prepare for broader module adoption. The project team documented data models and posting workflows consistent with ERP Financial functional terminology, and scoped extensions of SmeUp to supply chain and warehouse processes. Integrations were explicitly built to maintain data exchange between the existing Gipros information system and SmeUp accounting modules, enabling synchronized ledger posting and transactional handoffs. Operational coverage included IT, accounting, and logistics teams at the Brescia site, with integration work centered on message exchange and reconciliation between Gipros and smeup ERP. Governance and rollout were overseen by the internal project manager who transitioned into IT management responsibilities, establishing maintenance processes and a roadmap for phased module rollouts across the company. The implementation emphasis remained on stabilizing accounting integrations and preparing operational procedures for subsequent expansion of SmeUp functionality.
