SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to run core financial workflows including financial accounting and general ledger functions, accounts payable and receivable processes, and treasury-adjacent controls typical of ERP Financial systems. Configuration work included aligning financial module controls with change control workflows and explicit mapping to the bank's configuration management database.
Operational integration centered on Remedy for incident and change management, with Remedy-driven ticketing used to route priority requests to Development, Testing, and Quality teams. A designated Change Manager acted as local tester for the Remedy migration to BBVA Spain headquarters, coordinating technical validation, scheduling of reboots, and verification of application-level and infrastructure-level change implementations. The program also coordinated platform migration activity to P8 IBM systems, covering scheduled hardware changes and platform consolidation tasks.
Governance and process work was led from administration, where the Change Manager reviewed, managed, and controlled changes and requirements affecting infrastructure and software development areas. Responsibilities included liaison and resolution of priority incident and change requests, delivery of regular reports to management on implemented changes, coordination of new Remedy processes, and preparation of post-migration documentation. The implementation included coordination of CMDB upgrades and downgrades to assess impacts on hardware, software, and licenses during a special project migrating M9K, M6, P6, P7, and Intel platforms to P8 IBM.
