| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics AX | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018 Beaumont Tiles initiated an implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX, executing a procurement and supply chain program that reached a Supply Chain go live on 3 January 2019 with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The program was driven from the Adelaide procurement center and targeted a national retail network of more than 110 outlets and centralized procurement and inventory functions across Australia.
The Microsoft Dynamics AX deployment was configured to address core ERP Financial and Supply Chain needs, with explicit configuration of Product Life Management inside Microsoft Dynamics AX to manage item master and lifecycle data. The implementation included a Trade agreement system and associated procedures to control pricing and commercial terms, a procure to pay sequence to standardize purchasing workflows, and defined returns and good return procedures to formalize reverse logistics.
Operational integrations and coverage emphasized demand capture and logistics orchestration, with forecast data captured into the Smoothie forecast system as part of the demand planning loop and Microsoft Dynamics AX used to coordinate purchasing, shipping, and inventory controls. The procurement team led the rollout and worked alongside IT governance to resolve purchasing and logistics issues, establishing inventory controls for dead stock, phase in phase out items, and daily product level analyses to anticipate shortages.
Governance changes focused on new purchasing procedures, supplier contracts and service level frameworks, and training procurement staff to operate within Microsoft Dynamics AX workflows. Documented achievements from the program include the successful Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Supply Chain go live, establishment of PLM within DAX, rollout of the Trade agreement system and procedures, and implementation of procure to pay and returns procedures to standardize procurement and inventory operations.

In 2020, Beaumont Tiles implemented HROnboard from ELMO Software to centralize new hire processes across its Australian retail and distribution operations. HROnboard is deployed as the Onboarding application to manage the new hire lifecycle, from preboarding through first day induction, and to standardize role based onboarding workflows across the business.
The deployment uses a cloud hosted approach consistent with SaaS onboarding solutions, configured to deliver preboarding workflows, digital document management, e signature enabled paperwork, automated task assignment, induction checklists, and compliance tracking. Implementation work focused on configuring onboarding workflows and automation rules to hand off tasks between HR teams and hiring managers, and on templated onboarding plans for common retail and warehouse roles.
Operational scope included Beaumont Tiles HR and recruitment functions, hiring managers in store and distribution sites, and HR administrators responsible for compliance and employee records. Business functions impacted were recruitment to hire handover, new employee administration, manager driven onboarding approvals, and frontline induction processes.
Governance was organized around centralized template libraries and defined approval gates, with HR process owners assigned to maintain onboarding content and automation rules. The rollout was staged to align with hiring rhythms and to ensure consistent checklist based onboarding and manager sign off workflows across sites.
