In 2019 Beazley implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR system. The Oracle Cloud HCM deployment was positioned to support HR operations and the Talent Management team, with a focus on delivering a great HR experience for Beazley employees.
The implementation centered on Hire to Retire processes, with the HR team acting as the primary contact for employee lifecycle events. Functional emphasis in Oracle Cloud HCM included core employee data management, benefits administration, data reporting, and employee relations, and the primary HR user was responsible for inputting transactional and master data into Oracle Cloud HCM.
Operationally the Oracle Cloud HCM configuration was embedded within Beazley’s HR and Talent Management workflows, establishing a single point of contact for case handling and lifecycle events. Governance responsibilities included centralized data entry and stewardship for HR records, alignment with Talent Management processes, and day to day use of Oracle Cloud HCM as the authoritative Core HR application for Beazley’s workforce.

In 2019 Beazley implemented Guidewire Canvas to modernize its Insurance Claims Management capability as part of a more than ten year program to standardize claims across its business. The implementation was positioned enterprise-wide across the insurer's operations that manage six Lloyds syndicates and built on a long-term relationship with Guidewire technologies.
Guidewire Canvas was configured to modernize claims intake and customer-facing workflows, improve workflow orchestration, and instrument claims data capture for analytics. Configuration work emphasized user interface standardization, rules-based decisioning for triage and routing, and automation of routine claims processing steps to shorten lifecycles and increase processing productivity.
The Canvas deployment integrated with Beazley’s existing Guidewire ClaimCenter environment and was aligned with Guidewire Cyence to enhance risk modeling and claims analytics. Operational coverage extended beyond claims teams to underwriting and product groups, enabling claims data to inform product design and go-to-market strategy through more consistent data structures.
Governance and rollout were led from underwriting technology, with Adam Rich Head of Underwriting Technology cited as a sponsor for linking claims capability to underwriting insight. The program standardized workflows and data capture across syndicates, formalizing process handoffs between claims, underwriting, and product development teams to support faster decision cycles.
Outcomes reported include shortened claims lifecycles, an increase in claims processing productivity, enhanced risk modeling, and improved customer service. Guidewire Canvas and the integrated analytics capability were described by Beazley as central to capturing and analyzing claims data to support product innovation and commercial strategy.
