In 2015, Bentley Global Arts Group implemented ReadyShipper X for Shipping Management. Bentley Global Arts Group is a small professional services firm with ten employees, and the ReadyShipper X deployment was centered on its Shipping and Receiving operations in Austin, Texas. The implementation focused on single-site operational control of outbound customer orders and inbound warehouse receipts rather than a distributed enterprise rollout.
ReadyShipper X was configured to support core Shipping Management workflows, including multi-carrier label generation, batch shipment processing, packing slip creation, and freight handling for oversized and palletized shipments. The implementation also encompassed returns processing and packing workflow standardization, aligning physical packing tasks with electronic shipment records to reduce handling variance. ReadyShipper X served as the operational hub for packing and staging, supporting pallet jack handling and manual hand-strap procedures for pallet shipments.
Integrations were implemented with major carriers and carrier services used by the team, specifically USPS, UPS, FedEx, and third-party freight carriers, and the application interoperated with existing shipping interfaces such as Dazzle and carrier web services as part of day-to-day fulfillment. Operational coverage included processing museum samples, customer orders, warehouse supplies, and customer returns, with ReadyShipper X orchestrating carrier selection and freight documentation for each shipment type. The deployment emphasized practical connectivity to carrier rating and manifesting endpoints common to Shipping Management solutions.
Governance and process changes centered on centralizing responsibility for packing and shipment quality within a small team, and operational procedures were revised to improve packing efficiency and protection. A named employee maintained the packing area, implemented more secure and time efficient packing techniques, and documented handling practices, which explicitly reduced the number of damaged or late shipments. Training and informal governance supported single-operator continuity during normal operations and scaled support during peak seasons.
