In 2016, Bilia implemented VCRS TACDIS from Volvo Car Retail Solutions as its Dealership Management application. The deployment targeted workshop and reconditioning operations at Bilia in Södertälje and supported internal flows across service departments, positioning VCRS TACDIS as the operational backbone for service order orchestration and technician task management.
Configured modules and capabilities focused on service order management, workshop scheduling, reconditioning task lists, parts reservation and supplier coordination, and structured follow-up and quality checkpoints consistent with Dealership Management functionality. The implementation emphasized technician-level coaching workflows, weekly follow-up tools and standardized workpack processing to formalize internal flows and handoffs between technicians, parts staff and service advisors.
Operational use required workshop staff to operate VCRS TACDIS alongside Tacdis TECH USED, Tie TECH USED and Cabas TECH USED as part of the local technical stack, and workflows incorporated coordination with external transporters and other companies within the Bilia group for vehicle movement and parts logistics. The system connected workshop desks, parts clerks and front-desk advisors into a common service scheduling and reconditioning process, aligning business functions across service operations, parts management and customer delivery.
Governance centered on the workshop coach role, which carried personnel and profit responsibility and used weekly meetings and follow-up tools to enforce process adherence and coach technicians toward operational targets. Rollout activities were organized around operational coaching and process standardization at the workshop level, embedding VCRS TACDIS into daily service operations and internal workflows.
