FIS Global Legacy FIS GETPAID AR Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2009 2009
In 2009 Brightstar Corp implemented FIS GETPAID as its AR Automation solution, initiating a finance business transformation led by an AR Global Lead focused on credit, collections, cash applications, and customer master data. The deployment was organized around centralized AR operations and internal applications governance to standardize receivables workflows across markets. FIS GETPAID was configured to support credit and collections workflows, cash application processing, and collections case management. The implementation included creation of a business requirements document for collections and cash applications, detailed process flows, and work instructions to align system configuration with operational procedures. Integration work tied FIS GETPAID to Microsoft Dynamics AX for ERP accounts receivable and customer master synchronization, with mapping of customer master data and AR transaction records to ensure consistent ledgers and collections status. This integration work was executed as part of global projects, reflecting an operational scope spanning the finance, AR, credit, and collections functions. Governance and quality control were established through BRDs, formalized process documentation, and staged testing, with the project team performing system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and end user training sessions. Those activities were used to validate end to end collections and cash application processes and to institutionalize the new AR Automation procedures.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2018
In 2015, Brightstar Corp deployed Microsoft Power BI to support Analytics and BI workflows across repair reports, claims analysis, and sales reporting. The deployment linked BI visualization to existing ETL and reporting artifacts maintained by data engineering and business analytics teams, and supported a weekly reporting cadence for sales attach rate and repair claim monitoring. Operational scope included international projects with clients in Malaysia, Taiwan, Turkey, and Norway, and activity spanned repair operations, claims adjudication, and sales performance monitoring. The implementation included development of SSIS packages to select the most recent file and load it into a staging table for repair reports, and extensive data cleaning using SSIS prior to loading into MS SQL Server. SSRS was used for formal report delivery while weekly dashboard scorecards were produced in Excel with embedded MS SQL Server and Access queries. The team authored new requirements to improve data cube performance and applied time series forecasting in R to generate business insights consumed in Microsoft Power BI. Microsoft Power BI consumed ETL outputs, staging tables, and data cube structures produced by SSIS and MS SQL Server, integrating query-level data from Access where required. Analytics capabilities implemented included construction of 12 decision trees to determine future claim type, logistic regression models to predict potential fraud claims, multivariate regression analysis, and chi-squared tests for statistical validation of defective models. These analytics were used to evaluate attributes driving defective claims and to highlight trends in sales opportunities and churn. Governance and process work included documenting BPMN-informed processes while reviewing international corporate contracts and service level agreements, and codifying data staging and dashboard delivery standards. The analytics lead served as the team subject matter expert on Microsoft Power BI and wrote performance-focused requirements for the data cube, enabling consistent weekly reporting and model-driven decision support within the company’s Analytics and BI environment.
