Guidewire Legacy Guidewire BillingCenter Insurance Billing Administration ERP Services and Operations PwC 2023 2023
In 2023, Capital Insurance Group initiated Guidewire BillingCenter implementation for Insurance Billing Administration as part of a broader migration to Guidewire Cloud. The insurer expanded its Guidewire footprint after first becoming a Guidewire customer in 2015, and it engaged PwC to support the Cloud transition and implementation activities. The Cloud pivot occurred midstream during an on-premises ClaimCenter upgrade, driving a program-level decision to standardize core systems on Guidewire Cloud. Capital deployed Guidewire BillingCenter alongside ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter to centralize billing administration, premium receivables, and financial reporting workflows. ClaimCenter went live on Guidewire Cloud in August 2023 using an out-of-the-box configuration, and PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter completed go-live in February 2024, reflecting a phased P&C core rollout. The program emphasized standard configurations to accelerate time to value and reduce the ongoing cost and cadence of upgrades. The implementation uses Guidewire Cloud as the deployment architecture and integrates directly with Guidewire Data Platform using Cloud Data Access to deliver near real-time data latency for operational and financial reporting. Guidewire BillingCenter operates as an integrated node within the P&C core, exchanging data with ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, and CIG plans to extend engagement-layer integrations with ProducerEngage and CustomerEngage to activate agent and customer portals and mobile access. Data consumption is routed into production reporting pipelines that feed agency performance, premium receivables, financial metrics, and claims analytics. Governance and rollout sequencing were designed for low disruption, exemplified by a weekend cutover for PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter and rapid post‑cutover validation the following business day. PwC supported implementation tasks and CIG prioritized cloud adoption and out-of-the-box product configurations to reduce future upgrade costs and implementation timelines. Reported outcomes from the program include positive feedback from the claims force on system ease of use and the ability to leverage core data in near real-time for a wide set of reporting and operational use cases. Capital Insurance Group expects deeper operational insight into its P&C core and enhanced customer and agent servicing when it brings Guidewire Predict and additional Engage products into production.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft 365 Collaboration Collaboration n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Capital Insurance Group implemented Microsoft 365 for Collaboration. Capital Insurance Group is using Microsoft 365 on their website and across its United States operations, extending cloud productivity to approximately 600 employees. Microsoft 365 Collaboration supports core business functions including claims administration, underwriting coordination, sales enablement, and corporate support. The deployment centers on Microsoft 365 core collaboration capabilities such as Exchange Online for corporate email, SharePoint Online for intranet and document libraries, Microsoft Teams for synchronous collaboration, and OneDrive for endpoint file synchronization. Configuration emphasizes tenant provisioning, team and site templates aligned to business units, centralized document management, and access controls for sensitive insurance content. Automation of provisioning and group membership is applied to streamline onboarding for business functions. The corporate website surfaces Microsoft 365 content, enabling published resources and document access through the external web presence. Operational coverage spans underwriting, claims, customer service, sales, and HR, with Microsoft 365 used to coordinate cross-functional workflows and client-facing content publishing. Integration points are tenant-centric, aligning web content delivery and internal collaboration services through the Microsoft 365 tenant. Governance is structured to the Microsoft 365 tenant model, with role-based administration, retention and compliance policies, and conditional access controls to support insurance regulatory requirements. Administrative workflows standardize site lifecycle, information classification, and eDiscovery readiness for business functions handling sensitive policyholder information. Microsoft 365 is positioned as the Collaboration backbone for Capital Insurance Group across business and customer-facing channels.
