Sage Legacy Sage 500 ERP (formerly MAS 500) ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 CareOnSite implemented Sage 500 ERP formerly MAS 500 as its core finance platform to support accounting and operational control across five locations and over 500 employees. The deployment established Sage 500 ERP in the company technology stack as the centralized ERP Financial system under the Director of Information Technology who directs IT operations and the technology roadmap. The Sage 500 ERP implementation focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and distribution level inventory controls aligned to a unified chart of accounts and role based security. Configuration work emphasized multi site processing and transaction segregation consistent with healthcare billing and finance workflows, and the system was provisioned for routine upgrades and patching as part of ongoing IT governance. Technical deployment used a hybrid infrastructure model spanning AWS, Azure and on premise VMware and Nutanix hosts, with wide area connectivity over an SD WAN. The environment included backups and recovery managed through HYCU and security telemetry via AT&T Cybersecurity AlienVault, and the Sage 500 ERP instance was operated alongside integrations and interfaces maintained with Active Directory, ADP payroll, Salesforce CRM, Systoc EMR, Microsoft 365, the service desk platform and Power BI reporting. Operational governance tied the Sage 500 ERP program to enterprise processes, with IT managing upgrades, change control and configuration management across all sites while maintaining ISO 27001 certification. Workflow automation and reporting initiatives used Power Automate and Power BI to extend transactional data from Sage 500 ERP into business reporting and operational workflows, and IT led adjacent software development projects for EMR and learning management that aligned with finance and operational processes.
