In 2018 CBL Group implemented SAP S/4 HANA to establish core ERP Financial capabilities for the Sri Lanka based consumer packaged goods company. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on centralizing financial processes including real time accounting and core transaction processing across the enterprise.
Implementation work emphasized ERP Financial functional areas such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial close workflows, configured to support procure to pay and order to cash process integration with inventory and distribution operations. SAP S/4 HANA configuration leveraged standard financial modules and in memory ledger functionality to align with the companys finance and accounting workflows.
Ibm served as the systems integrator and the infrastructure architecture was built on IBM Power Systems and IBM Storage platforms, with virtualization using IBM PowerVM, operating system stacks including AIX and PowerLinux, and availability support via IBM PowerHA. Backup and storage management used IBM Storage Area Networks and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, and on site infrastructure implementation and support activities were executed in Sri Lanka by systems support specialists.
Operational governance incorporated defined SLA and maintenance agreement targets, on call support rotations, performance tuning, preventive maintenance and formal change request handling, with KPIs covering activity clocking, incident and software call closure, hardware call closure and escalation management. Skills transfer and runbook handover were delivered as part of the rollout to ensure operational continuity for finance and IT operations.
