Configuration work included business process design and maintenance, creation and modification of Supervisory Organizations, Cost Centers, Cost Center Hierarchies and location hierarchies, and detailed compensation configuration for one time payments, promotions, internal transfers, lateral moves, proposed and change compensation steps. Functional and technical activities included Workday Report Writer and BIRT report development for headcount, compensation, talent, recruiting, benefits and payroll reporting, plus business form layout creation and scheduled custom reports for absence management and time tracking.
The technical architecture and integrations emphasized data conversion and outbound interfaces, including Workday data conversion from PeopleSoft to Workday and multiple integration technologies. Integrations and interfaces were built using EIB, iLoad, Workday Connector, SOAP web services, WSDL, XML, XSLT Document Transformation, and Workday Studio, with additional Concur expense management integration patterns executed via EIB. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL were used to support data conversion and transformation work as part of integration and reporting activities.
Governance and rollout relied on global business process design workshops, requirements gathering sessions with business process owners and subject matter experts, and coordination with the Security Audit team for requirement verification. Production support and issue coordination used Workday case management, and the program included feasibility studies, impact analysis and structured requirements documentation to align HR, payroll, compensation and talent workflows with the Workday HCM Core HR platform.
