In 2007, Cole-Parmer implemented FIS GETPAID as its AR Automation solution to manage accounts receivable, billing and tax compliance workflows. The deployment positioned FIS GETPAID as the primary system for customer correspondence and receivables processing across the finance organization.
FIS GETPAID was used to log and track sales tax exemption certificates, research and document disputes related to taxing on customer bills, and run customer correspondence directly from the application. The implementation also captured check processing activities, including logging, preparation and sending of checks to customers, reflecting AR Automation capabilities for payment handling and correspondence management.
Operationally, staff performed data entry functions using Lawson software alongside FIS GETPAID, establishing an operational linkage for receivables data handling and recordkeeping. The system supported Accounts Receivable, billing, tax compliance and customer service teams, and was leveraged to assist with audit requests and special projects by providing transaction logs and correspondence records.

In 2013 Cole-Parmer deployed Infor KBM ISeries ERP as its Manufacturing ERP system, placing Infor KBM ISeries ERP at the center of enterprise application management for manufacturing and finance workflows. The program framed IT supervision and development activities around a single ERP platform while aligning IT staff responsibilities to support division and corporate application needs.
Implementation work included installation of the ERP Financial module and configuration of core KBM manufacturing capabilities. Batch orchestration used an iSeries job scheduler by Help Systems, outbound document form design was provided by Integrated Custom Software, and barcode label printing integrated TL Ashford label solutions. Automated iSeries report download and delivery was implemented with RJS Software and ad-hoc operational reporting used the iSeries Query tool.
Custom applications and extensions were developed and maintained using RPG III, RPG IV and CL programming to address division-level process requirements and to bridge ERP functionality gaps. Training of division staff on new and existing ERP applications was conducted as part of the implementation to operationalize custom code and standard KBM workflows. The deployment supported manufacturing operations and financial processing across Cole-Parmer divisions.
Governance activities emphasized SOX compliant security controls, with system security executed to meet Sarbanes-Oxley law requirements and IT requests analyzed and prioritized by the internal team. Maintenance and support processes were established for the ERP system and custom applications, and development work followed documented procedures for code changes and deployments. Ongoing support responsibilities included ad-hoc reporting, scheduled job management, and incremental application enhancements.
Operational coverage combined enterprise financial management and manufacturing execution capabilities within the Infor KBM ISeries ERP environment, supported by integrated third-party utilities for scheduling, forms, labeling, and report distribution. Continuous maintenance, staff training, and in-house RPG and CL development sustained the solution for division and corporate objectives.
