| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Conair implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable as an AP Automation solution to centralize invoice processing across Finance and Supply Chain. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable was positioned to automate invoice capture, workflow-driven approvals, exception routing, and audit-ready postings to the general ledger, supporting Finance and Supply Chain business functions while aligning with existing SOX controls.
The implementation included configuration of invoice intake and workflow modules typical of AP Automation, with automated validation rules and electronic routing to reduce manual touchpoints. The deployment incorporated document capture and indexing into existing scanning and archiving workflows, enabling Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable to consume scanned invoices and documents and to surface audit trails required for SOX compliance.
Integrations were implemented with Conair s SAP landscape and content management stack, leveraging Kofax scanning for document ingestion and IBM Content Manager on AIX commonstore servers for archival and retrieval of DART batch data. Payment and transaction message flows were aligned with existing EDI 820 and 823 rails and lockbox processing, enabling straightthrough posting into SAP financials and continuity with order to cash and purchase to pay interfaces.
Governance was driven by Conair s IT Compliance leadership and a formal COBIT and ITIL audit charter, with documented corporate IT policy and procedural manuals that embedded SOX GRC 404 controls into AP workflows. Archiving and data management workstreams tracked and processed five years of global DART batch data, produced scorecards to prioritize large tables and archiving objects, and delivered a reported 25% reduction in table space while eliminating open items and reducing storage footprint.
