The SAP Concur Expense implementation was configured to support multi-currency expense capture and routed approver workflows, with explicit controls for allocation to budgetary cost centres. Configuration focused on approvals, expense administration and transaction staging consistent with Expense Management functional workflows used in mid-market professional services organizations.
Operationally the Expenses Manager and Purchase Ledger Controller ran day-to-day administration of SAP Concur Expense alongside accounts payable processing, supporting multi-currency expenses in GBP, USD, Euro and SGD. Approved invoices and journal entries were processed via Microsoft Dynamics GP, with transaction handoffs to Microsoft Dynamics GP for posting and cost centre allocation, and team-level processing handled by three Accounts Assistants.
Governance centered on an approvals and administration model embedded in the Expense Management platform, with the Purchase Ledger Controller responsible for policy enforcement, reconciliations and oversight of cross-border expense activity. The implementation emphasized centralized approval workflows, multi-currency accounting alignment and integration touchpoints to the companys ledger for financial posting.
