Operational scope covered Accounts Payable teams and the supplier community within Crum & Forster, with business partners invited to enroll in the electronic payments program and provided with enrollment and benefit details. The solution was embedded into existing payment workflows to centralize electronic payment issuance and streamline the supplier payment lifecycle.
Governance emphasized supplier enrollment processes, payment method selection policies, and execution controls to standardize operations and accelerate cash flow for suppliers. The deployment targeted support for Underwriting, Claims, and Billing & Collections business units and was positioned to standardize workflows for General Liability, Auto, and Excess/Umbrella lines written across multiple industry verticals in the United States.
The implementation of Duck Creek Suite included policy administration, claims management, and billing modules configured to reflect specialty commercial lines underwriting rules and billing cycles. Project activities described in internal hiring and planning materials emphasize requirements gathering, prototyping of design sessions, configuration of underwriting and claims workflows, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, and creation of documentation and training materials for go live.
Operational integration work was coordinated with Crum & Forster Digital Services and IT stakeholders to ensure interoperability with existing in-house computing systems and financial controls, enabling end to end processing across underwriting, claims resolution, and premium collection. The operational scope specified Surplus & Specialty Lines underwriting teams and related regional offices across the United States, with business stakeholders in underwriting, claims, billing, and finance participating in roadmap and release planning.
Governance and rollout were organized around small cross functional teams that included two to five business analysts supporting iterative delivery, scope management, issue tracking, and post implementation support. Planning documents and role descriptions highlight responsibilities for stakeholder roadmaps, systems models and requirement specifications, coordination of testing cycles, and end user training to improve system usability and operational efficiency.
