In 2015, CyraCom implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, deploying Oracle ERP Financials Cloud as the core application for ERP Financial operations and integrating it with Oracle Sales Cloud and Oracle Procurement Cloud. The implementation centered on Oracle ERP Financials Cloud configuration for accounts, roles, and controls, with built in separation of duties enforced through role definitions. CyraCom also implemented Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud to replace spreadsheet roll ups for the 2016 budgeting cycle, and initiated an Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud project for phased HR deployment planned for early 2016.
Integrations were executed so that opportunities recorded in Oracle Sales Cloud flow directly into Oracle Cloud ERP for billing, and procurement processes move from requisition to PO to invoice inside the integrated suite, reducing duplicate data entry. Cloud access from distributed offices supported faster roll up analysis and collaborative budget workflows, while the multi currency capabilities enabled finance to process transactions across international operations.
Governance and operational lessons were formalized during the project, most notably the need for data cleansing and deliberate account structure design prior to data migration, and use of Oracle updates delivered twice a year to remain current.
