In 2014 DENSO Belgium implemented Cornerstone HR Suite as its Core HR platform. Cornerstone HR Suite centralized recruitment for sales and engineering roles, the Performance Management System with appraisal follow-up, and training and development administration.
The implementation encompassed modules for recruitment, performance management, learning management, employee records and HR files, and integration with KELIO time-registration for attendance and time tracking. Payroll-adjacent workflows were configured to support salary review processes, group insurance administration, meal voucher and warrants tracking, and R&D-related compensation items. Configured HR KPI reporting included monthly absence ratios and employee turnover metrics to support budget preparation and follow-up.
Operational scope covered HR and general administration functions including company car fleet management, company phone management, service contract tracking and organizing company events, with EU-level HR projects such as engagement surveys and mobility harmonization. The deployment also handled expatriation workflows for Japanese inbound expats, including work permits, special tax regimes and guidance for living in Belgium, while Legal and Compliance activities addressed GDPR preparation and the anti-bribery act.
Governance emphasized structured monthly reporting, appraisal follow-up workflows and budget monitoring, and the system was used to coordinate internal purchase order system management and service contract records in collaboration with GA teams. Operational processes were instrumented to produce GA KPI reporting such as accident reports and budget follow-up.
The Cornerstone HR Suite served as DENSO Belgium's central Core HR system connecting recruitment, performance, learning and personnel records with administrative GA and compliance workflows. It restated Cornerstone HR Suite capabilities across recruitment, learning, performance and HR records to support Belgian operations and EU HR initiatives.
