In 2017, Direct Ferries implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as their ERP Financial system, replacing Sage 200. The implementation centralized core finance and accounting functions and was adopted by the company finance team based in the United Kingdom.
Microsoft Dynamics GP was configured to support purchase ledger processing, sales line creation, cash book management and credit control workflows. The project included configuration work for loading Purchase Ledger lines and the set up of new travel agent customer accounts, plus the creation of a specialized spreadsheet to assist sales line creation and SQL linked reporting to support gross margin analysis.
Integrations focused on importing historical transactional data from legacy databases into Microsoft Dynamics GP and establishing SQL links between GP and reporting processes to provide BI for the CFO and commercial teams. Operational coverage emphasized day to day finance operations, credit control for specialised accounts and ongoing reconciliation tasks, with daily sales data validation using macros developed by the finance team.
Governance and process changes were driven by internal training and handover, with finance staff trained on Purchase Ledger loading and on the new macros and spreadsheets. A payroll of automation and a specialized cash book macro reduced the month end process by two days, and continued responsibilities include credit control, BI provision and maintaining SQL driven reporting tied to Microsoft Dynamics GP.

In 2015 Direct Ferries implemented Microsoft 365 as its primary collaboration platform. The deployment is cited as being used on their public website while also serving internal Collaboration needs across corporate functions.
The Microsoft 365 implementation centers on standard Collaboration capabilities including cloud-hosted Office applications, document co-authoring and file storage, intranet and content publishing workflows, and synchronous communication and meeting tools. Configuration appears to prioritize content management and web-facing editorial workflows together with employee productivity suites typical of the Microsoft 365 application set.
Operationally the rollout aligns a single tenant model to support corporate departments responsible for marketing, customer content and operations, and it includes user provisioning and access controls to manage site editors and internal users. Governance emphasizes content publication workflows and permissions for web and intranet content, with ongoing administration of Collaboration services to support both the website and day to day corporate communications.
