CounselLink was integrated with existing time and billing systems, specifically Aderant and Elite, and with the Concur expense management feed for client expense capture, enabling consolidated invoice assembly. The deployment also supported electronic transmittal to multiple e-bill networks including Collaborati, Tymetrix360, Serengeti Tracker and Bottomline Legal Exchange, with operational controls to monitor acceptance and rejection of transmitted files. Governance and process changes included standardized review and problem resolution procedures for noncompliant invoices, structured communications between billing coordinators and attorneys on complex billing issues, maintenance of billing and collection file records, and production of supporting reports and spreadsheets to accompany client invoices. These controls reinforced fee earners and administrative staff responsibilities for NBI submissions, client/matter data integrity and e-billing compliance within the LexisNexis CounselLink Legal Practice Management environment.
