In 2018 Eneco deployed the AgilePoint Platform as a Workflow Automation solution to model and automate order management and delivery processes for its Soon smart thermostat. The implementation targeted sales and fulfillment workflows in the Netherlands and focused on improving operational visibility for call agents and fulfillment teams.
The AgilePoint Platform was configured to capture order intake, orchestrate delivery tasks and expose process state to front-line users, using low-code process models so business users could update workflows without heavy IT intervention. Functional capabilities emphasized process modeling, workflow orchestration and user-facing forms to support order processing and exception handling.
Integrations included a direct connection to Microsoft Dynamics CRM to synchronize customer and order data and to streamline sales to fulfillment handoffs, providing a single view of order status for call agents. The integration reduced handoffs and centralized order information in the AgilePoint Platform, improving traceability across the sales and delivery lifecycle.
Deployment governance emphasized business-led process ownership, with change control confined to the AgilePoint Platform designer to limit IT gatekeeping and accelerate updates. Outcomes reported by Eneco included improved process visibility for call agents, faster order processing and the ability for business users to maintain processes without major IT projects.
