Oracle Legacy Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, ESCO Corporation implemented Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable to optimize invoice intake and processing across its Accounts Payable department. The deployment used Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable in the AP Automation category to centralize invoice capture, reduce manual data entry, and standardize invoice handling workflows. The implementation leveraged Oracle WebCenter's invoice processing capabilities to extract line level and header information from supplier invoices, apply validation rules, and automate data entry. Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable was configured to perform optical character recognition, template matching, and rule-based validation consistent with AP Automation functional workflows. Integration was established between Oracle WebCenter and ESCO's Oracle E-Business Suite Financial application, enabling automated transfer of extracted invoice data into payable ledgers and matching workflows. Operational coverage focused on the Accounts Payable function, with the solution handling the majority of inbound invoices through automated processing rather than manual keyed entry. Process governance was realigned to support automated capture and exception handling, including routed approvals and exception queues for invoices requiring human review. Workflows were redefined to prioritize exception management and to reduce manual routing, consolidating AP processing controls within Oracle WebCenter and the Oracle E-Business Suite Financial application. As a result of the Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable deployment ESCO increased the number of invoices processed annually while reducing resource requirements, and a majority of invoices now complete the AP process with no manual intervention. These improvements contributed to ESCO realizing an overall ROI from the AP Automation initiative.

Workday Legacy Workday HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2018
In 2015 ESCO Corporation implemented Workday HCM in a program to lead talent and HR process transition from a regional to a global market driven structure. The deployment used Workday HCM as the integrated HRIS platform and is categorized as Core HR, supporting centralized HR master data and workforce structure. The implementation included configuration of Core HR components and talent management workflows, and establishment of position management, job profiles, and recruitment modules aligned with corporate hiring governance. Functional modules and capabilities were organized to support centers of excellence in talent acquisition, total rewards, HRIS, and talent management. Operational coverage was global, with the roll out aligning HR Business Partners and talent teams to the new market driven operating model. The program required close collaboration with executive leadership, including coaching leaders assuming global responsibility and interfacing with the Board of Directors during executive leadership transitions. Governance changes accompanied the technical deployment, including creation of centers of excellence to centralize policy and process for talent acquisition, rewards, HRIS administration, and talent management. A business needs assessment was used to optimize HR Business Partner alignment and to define new workflows and escalation paths for global HR services. Workday HCM served as the central Core HR system for HR and talent functions across ESCO Corporation, and the deployment was explicitly positioned to support CEO level strategic talent acquisition and deployment initiatives. The initiative emphasized role based governance, executive coaching, and standardized HRIS processes across the reorganized global structure.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2011 2018
In 2011 ESCO Corporation implemented Microsoft Power BI to establish a centralized Analytics and BI capability focused on supply chain analytics for its oil, gas and chemicals operations and a roughly 3000 employee footprint. The Microsoft Power BI deployment served as the front end for interactive dashboards and report delivery, aligned with an operational program to standardize reporting for supply chain stakeholders. Implementation work included design, development and maintenance of a SQL Server database layer, authoring complex queries, stored procedures and views to shape supply chain data. Development teams created and managed Data Integration and ETL SSIS packages to perform nightly refreshes from Oracle, and they built multidimensional artifacts including cubes and Power Pivot models to support analytical slicing and drill down. The environment integrated Oracle transactional feeds into a SQL-based analytics architecture, with SSIS orchestrating the nightly load and SSAS cubes and models feeding both Power BI dashboards and Excel Power Pivot reports. Business Intelligence tooling was produced using BIDS and the Microsoft BI stack, specifically SSIS for ETL, SSRS for paginated reporting, and SSAS for cube and semantic model development, enabling consistent report semantics across Power BI and Excel clients. Operational governance centered on scheduled ETL refresh cycles, ongoing SQL object lifecycle management, and report model versioning to support the supply chain analytics function. The implementation emphasized repeatable ETL processes, published semantic models, and a report delivery pipeline that connected Microsoft Power BI, Power Pivot and traditional SSRS outputs for supply chain decision support.
