| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 EXL implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Payable as its AP Automation solution, embedding the Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Payable application into its enterprise finance technology roadmap. The initiative was driven from a Global Technology function and led by cloud technical solution architects responsible for scoping, solution design, delivery, and adoption across finance and procure to pay workflows.
Configuration and automation work focused on Accounts Payable functional capabilities within Oracle Fusion, while coexisting with broader Oracle Fusion ERP components such as AP, AR, GL, HCM, and PO through RICEW component delivery. Implementation activities included building integrations, user interface components, and workflow automation using Oracle Integration Cloud integrations, Visual Builder Cloud Service applications, and Process Cloud Service workflows, plus technical development using PL/SQL and Oracle Database artifacts and reporting configuration with OTBI and BI Publisher templates.
Architecturally the deployment emphasized Oracle Cloud PaaS patterns, integration via OIC with Web Services and REST APIs to tie SAP and third party touch points as required, and delivery practices aligned to Agile and other SDLC models. Governance and operationalization involved engagement with functional and business unit owners for application support and enhancements, centralized cloud enablement stewardship, and ongoing technical ownership for integrations and RICEW component maintenance.
