In 2015 Fife Creamery implemented TotalSoft Charisma Distribution. The deployment targeted warehouse and shipping operations under the Logistics Management application category, with primary operational coverage at the Kirkcaldy site handling refrigerated consumer packaged goods.
TotalSoft Charisma Distribution was configured to support inventory control, shipping execution, order processing and operational reporting. Operators used Charisma Operating Software to load and manipulate inventory and shipping data, produce reports, and drive pick sheet generation for route-specific product schedules.
The system was used to receive inbound goods and reconcile contents against purchase orders, to manage picking staging and loading for dispatch, and to capture customer orders placed by phone and email. It supported routine inventory cycles including daily monthly quarterly and yearly counts, as well as handling special orders and after hours urgent shipments.
Operational governance centered on warehouse supervisor workflows, including training of two to three new employees each month, stock rotation by code and receiving date, verification of temperature levels for refrigerated inbound merchandise, and recording count and condition of received cargo. The supervisor entered transactional data into Charisma Operating Software and operated the shipping functionality to maintain accurate stock records and to resolve shortages and miss picks reported by customers.
