| Oracle | Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable | Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Receivable | AR Automation | ERP | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, First American Financial implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Receivable as a targeted AR Automation deployment, migrating core receivables capabilities from Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable into a cloud-native accounts receivable platform. The initiative was executed within the Enterprise Application Services group, specifically driven by the Oracle Business Process Management team and aligned to Record to Report and General Ledger controls for the company’s finance organization.
The implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Receivable included configuration of standard receivables capabilities such as invoicing, receipt processing, reconciliation and AR close controls, and incorporated Advanced Collections, Cash Management and General Ledger configuration as complementary modules. Functional workstreams documented in the project scope reflected AR configuration items named in First American role descriptions, including Trading Community Architecture setup, AR accounting rules and SLA accounting, tax integration points, refund flows and AR/AP netting patterns. Test discipline included developing test scripts, conducting Conference Room Pilot and User Acceptance Testing aligned to R2R requirements.
Integrations were structured around finance module touchpoints, explicitly addressing AR and CE integration patterns, AR refunds tied to AP, and interfaces to Cash Management and General Ledger for accounting impacts and reconciliation. The delivery model referenced onshore and offshore technical teams for build and support, with application-level interfaces, custom reports and data extracts used to exchange receivables and cash status across the finance stack.
Governance for the rollout emphasized fit gap analysis, formal solution design, CRP and UAT cycles, and maintained documentation for requirements, processes and test cases. The Oracle Business Process Management team managed change control, functional support and escalation to Oracle through service requests, while providing status updates to finance process owners and project leadership.
Operational coverage targeted enterprise finance functions including Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Management and General Ledger, embedding AR Automation into Record to Report workflows and ongoing application support. Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Accounts Receivable was positioned as the central AR Automation application to standardize receivables processing and sustain compliance with the company’s R2R governance model.
