IFS Legacy IFS Workflow (formerly P2 Workflow) Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 Florida Power & Light deployed IFS Workflow (formerly P2 Workflow) as a Business Process Management platform to support land and lease operations and special projects related to land data across corporate land systems. The implementation was positioned to support monthly analysis of more than one million acres of prospect land information for executive distribution and SEC filings, with the IFS Workflow application used as the central orchestration layer for land data change projects. Six Sigma methodologies and tools were applied to design process improvements and to tune workflow logic for data change projects, with business analysts and lease analysts acting as process owners and trainers for the configured flows. IFS Workflow was operated alongside core land systems and content services, with explicit operational integration points documented during the program. Project work included data conversion activities from Excalibur to Quorum and from DocVue to Documentum, and the deployment was coordinated with automated document analysis from ThoughtTrace AI to extract provisional data from leases and contracts. The platform supported acquisitions and divestitures by managing incoming land system data and ensuring accurate loading into the respective land systems. Governance emphasized a team based work dynamic, subject matter expert led training, and monthly review cycles to verify data quality for executive reporting and regulatory filings. Analysts on the program served as trainers and subject matter experts in Quorum, ThoughtTrace, Excalibur, P2 Workflow and Microsoft Office, and the ThoughtTrace integration was reported to increase efficiency and accuracy in lease and contract data interpretation.
