In 2019 Fluxys implemented FIS Integrated Payables as an AP Automation solution. The initial deployment focused on automating invoice processing, payment execution and approval workflows to support accounts payable operations while aligning with treasury controls.
The implementation encompassed common AP Automation functional modules including invoice capture and validation, workflow based authorization of payment instructions, payment remittance handling and bank reconciliation support. FIS Integrated Payables was positioned to interface with internal accounting and treasury records to ensure end to end transaction visibility within the AP process.
Integrations were explicitly coordinated with SAP for A/R and A/P accounting, with Isabel for bank connectivity, and with the FIS Integrity Treasury Management System used by the treasury back office. The solution was integrated into in house banking and intercompany cash pooling arrangements, and aligned with bank relationship processes such as KYC, cash concentration zero balancing and users management.
Operational scope covered treasury, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions at Fluxys, with implementation activity tied to the Fluxys Brussels treasury back office. Governance changes emphasized formalized payment instruction authorization and bank reconciliation procedures to align AP Automation workflows with existing treasury approval and reporting practices.
