In 2015, Forum Sports implemented SAP R/3 as its ERP Financial application. The SAP R/3 deployment was positioned as the central finance and commercial backbone for the retailer, coordinated alongside parallel commerce and marketing projects to align finance, retail and customer engagement workflows.
The implementation included SAP FICO scope delivered in conjunction with Accenture, and SAP HR workstreams coordinated with IBM, with SAP Retail also implemented alongside Accenture. Configuration and module work focused on financial accounting and controlling processes within SAP R/3, retail merchandising and master data patterns, and alignment with point of sale operational flows.
Integrations were a core element of the program, with responsibility for connecting SAP R/3 to existing PowerShop point of sale infrastructure, EDI messaging for logistics circuits and supply chain, and the Hybris Commerce and Hybris Marketing systems used for customer journey orchestration. These integrations supported business functions across Marketing, Logistics and Commercial Management and required orchestration of EDI, point of sale connectivity and commerce-marketing interactions.
Project governance covered project management for Hybris Marketing customer journey and Hybris Commerce, and direct interaction with business stakeholders to design improvements in logistics circuits, product presentation, customer communication and commercial management. The program included maintenance and support processes for SAP R3 and PowerShop, joint analysis and implementation work with the business and named partners Accenture and IBM, and specific analysis of the PWS point of sale application.
The team also performed maintenance and needs analysis of SAP BW, which was later replaced by Oracle Discoverer, and led analysis and development of a new data warehouse using Oracle Discoverer along with business and development teams. Analysis and implementation of business productivity tools and ongoing support for Hybris Marketing and Hybris Commerce completed the operational scope of the initiative.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Forum Sports implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR application. The initiative was executed as a company-wide HR program to centralize personnel processes and to enable tighter integration with retail and logistics operations.
SAP HCM (HR) configuration work targeted standard Core HR capabilities, including personnel administration, organizational management, time management, payroll interfacing, and employee master data management, aligning with typical Core HR functional workflows. The deployment emphasized configuration, data model alignment and HR master data governance rather than bespoke module development, and established workstreams for data cleansing and role-based access controls.
The implementation was coordinated with multiple concurrent projects and explicit system integrations, including SAP R3, PowerShop, the PWS point of sale application, EDI messaging for suppliers and logistics, and the companys reporting stack which moved from SAP BW to an Oracle Discoverer datawarehouse. Forum Sports also synchronized SAP HCM integration requirements with Hybris Marketing and Hybris Commerce initiatives, and carried out analysis and technical implementation jointly with IBM for SAP HR while Accenture led parallel SAP FICO and SAP Retail efforts.
Project governance used cross-functional business and IT working groups and formal project management for Hybris Marketing and Hybris Commerce, with the IT function responsible for ongoing maintenance, support triage and integration orchestration. Operational ownership spanned HR, logistics, commercial management and store operations, ensuring that HR processes and interfaces were aligned with retail workflows and point of sale systems.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Retail | Retail Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Forum Sports implemented SAP Retail as a core component of its Retail Management program. The SAP Retail implementation was coordinated alongside SAP Hybris Commerce and SAP Hybris Marketing initiatives to address identified needs in Marketing and Logistics and to support commercial management and customer engagement workflows.
The SAP Retail deployment covered standard retail functional areas including assortment and merchandising configuration, pricing and promotional management, point of sale orchestration, and logistics circuit design. Workstreams explicitly included product presentation and customer communication capabilities, and the implementation team configured SAP Retail modules to align with in‑store point of sale behavior and omnichannel order flow requirements.
Integrations were a central focus, the project formalized interfaces to existing ERP and store systems including SAP R3 and the PowerShop environment, and managed EDI message flows for trading partners and logistics carriers. Forum Sports led analysis and integration of the point of sale application PWS and maintained SAP BW until replacement with Oracle Discoverer, while a new data warehouse using Oracle Discoverer was developed in collaboration with business stakeholders. Accenture was engaged with the business on SAP FICO and on SAP Retail implementation tasks, and IBM participated in analysis and implementation work for SAP HR integrations.
Governance and operationalization emphasized project management for Hybris Marketing customer journey work and Hybris Commerce, ongoing maintenance and customer support for existing applications, and centralized ownership for integration across logistics, EDI, and point of sale. Business process analysis and incremental improvements were executed jointly with Marketing, Logistics, Finance, and HR stakeholders, with responsibilities for long term maintenance and productivity tool rollouts assigned to the internal application and integration teams.
