In 2012, Fredon implemented COINS ERP as its core enterprise system. The deployment is categorized as Construction ERP and was rolled out across all divisions of the business under the oversight of the Business Systems Manager.
The COINS ERP implementation included configuration of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Stock, and Project Forecasting modules. The deployment also incorporated Service and Maintenance job processing and invoicing, including a mobile application for technicians using COINS on site, and extensive customization of COINS enquiry pages and reports to support senior management monthly reporting.
Fredon implemented Simpro Service and Maintenance software across various service businesses to handle job scheduling and invoicing, alongside COINS ERP. COINS ERP data sets were exposed via SQL for use with Excel Power Query business intelligence workflows, creating a direct data feed for ad hoc analysis and management reporting. The environment supports daily use by over 300 COINS ERP users and approximately 100 Simpro users.
Operational coverage encompassed finance, procurement, inventory management, project forecasting, service and maintenance operations, and field technician workflows. Ongoing governance and application support are performed by the Business Systems Manager, who maintains custom reports and data extracts to sustain monthly management reporting and day to day operational continuity.
