| Oracle | Oracle PeopleSoft ERP | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
Genuine Parts Company implemented Oracle Cloud ERP in 2018. The deployment replaced Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and focused on ERP Financial processes across the distributor that operates more than 2,600 facilities and employs about 63,000 people.
The implementation concentrated on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management modules within Oracle Cloud ERP, with configuration work that included customized procurement workflows and audit-focused reporting. Data conversion and load processes were executed using FBDI and published APIs, and the project team prepared and executed SIT and UAT test cases with QA and end users to validate AP, AR, and cash management flows.
Integrations were implemented using Oracle Integration Cloud and direct APIs to connect procurement and reporting workflows, with bespoke integrations supporting invoice lifecycle and cash posting processes. Reporting and audit requirements were met by converting RDF text out reports into PDF and Excel formats and by developing custom reports for AP, PO, and AR audit teams.
Governance and operational ownership were established across finance, procurement, and audit teams, with tech functional consultants working alongside users to document reporting requirements and to publish reports using BI Publisher, OTBI, and FR Studio. The rollout emphasized process validation through QA and user acceptance testing and produced a consolidated ERP Financial environment running on Oracle Cloud ERP.

In 2015 Genuine Parts Company implemented UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) in the Absence and Leave Management category to replace a legacy leave system. The deployment centralized leave management within GPC’s HR Employee Service Center, creating a focused team of leave specialists and enabling leave requests to be initiated by employees or by field HR managers.
The implementation translated corporate leave policies into standardized processes, produced updated user guides, and included training for field HR managers and ESC staff. Rollout and operational design were coordinated with the HRIS team and field HR partners to align workflows and handoffs; the centralized service ran inside the HR shared services environment supporting roughly 15 employees and was structured to meet ESC performance targets (80% of cases closed within 48 hours, QA score of 80% or better, and less than 5% call abandon rate). The centralized team handled escalations and ongoing issue resolution for leave administration.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2015 | 2018 |
In 2015 Genuine Parts Company implemented Microsoft Power BI as a core component of its Analytics and BI environment. The initial deployment emphasized enterprise reporting and self-service analytics while retaining a strong operational focus on managing, troubleshooting, and developing ETL processes using the MSBI tool stack SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
Implementation centered on standard MSBI functional modules. SSIS was used for ETL orchestration and package scheduling, SSAS supported semantic modeling and analytic cubes for consolidated measures, and SSRS provided pixel-perfect operational report delivery. Microsoft Power BI was layered on top for interactive dashboards, ad hoc visualization, and role-based report distribution, with data refresh and model update cadence aligned to SSIS job schedules.
Operational coverage prioritized BI and data engineering teams responsible for package development, error handling, and SSAS model maintenance, and extended to reporting consumers across corporate analytics and distribution operations. Governance practices emphasized package version control, scheduled monitoring of SSIS jobs, SSAS model change management, and Power BI workspace access controls to standardize report publishing and operational troubleshooting.
