Oracle Oracle PeopleSoft ERP Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2021 2022
In 2021, Guthrie implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of Project Monarch, transitioning from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and consolidating Cortland’s MEDITECH and MediTract Contract Management Systems with a targeted go-live of October 1, 2021. Oracle Cloud ERP, classified as ERP Financial, was scoped to standardize HR, Finance and Supply Chain processes and to touch every major business process across Guthrie’s integrated health system. The implementation emphasized procurement and supply chain capabilities, including sourcing and contracting, centralized purchasing workflows, inventory management, value analysis, and contract lifecycle management. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured alongside automation and analytics features to enable standardized business processes, intelligent automation of transactional workflows, and improved operational reporting for the Corporate Purchasing Department and the broader Supply Chain Division. Integrations were executed with Syft Synergy, with Syft automating point of use capture and documentation into the ERP and other clinical systems, and providing perioperative, procedural area and nursing unit visibility. Guthrie also leverages Lumere clinical evidence solutions to inform clinically integrated sourcing and value analysis, and the Oracle Cloud ERP deployment was coordinated with these supply chain and clinical data flows to support preference card management, cost variance analysis and demand forecasting use cases. Governance and rollout were organized through the Supply Chain Division and the Corporate Purchasing Department under VP Procurement Grace Jackson, with multi site planning, user engagement programs and training driven by a Voice of Customer approach. The program explicitly targeted process standardization and reduced manual tasks, and Syft Synergy outcomes stated by Guthrie included a projected removal of 7,000,000 dollars of expenses, inventory level optimization valued at 311,000 dollars, supply standardization savings of 2,332,000 dollars, expired and recalled supply management savings of 1,593,000 dollars, and cost per case capture of 110,000 dollars. The pandemic revealed supply chain vulnerabilities and led Guthrie to establish interim off site PPE warehousing and to pursue a feasibility study for a future Consolidated Service Center to increase resilience.

STARLIMS Legacy Starlims Abbott eScreen BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2005 2005
In 2005, Guthrie implemented Starlims Abbott eScreen as its BackGround Screening platform for Occupational Medicine. The deployment was centered at Guthrie Clinic collection sites to support on-site specimen collection and web-based reporting for contractor and employee screening workflows. The Starlims Abbott eScreen implementation emphasized eCups collection devices and the vendor’s web reporting capabilities to deliver immediate test results to clinic staff and authorized external clients. Functional capabilities implemented included specimen collection orchestration, chain of custody documentation, electronic capture of urine drug screening results, and browser-accessible result dashboards for verification. Web reporting was configured to provide secure result access to local contractors and subcontractors, aligning result delivery with contractor onboarding and site access controls. Operational scope covered Guthrie’s Occupational Medicine department and its interactions with construction clients and subcontractors at local worksites, enabling verification of employee status before site entry. Governance and workflow changes formalized the requirement that subcontractor employees use Starlims Abbott eScreen for screenings, and clinic procedures were adapted to operationalize chain of custody and results release workflows. The immediate results from eCups and the web reporting capability enabled Guthrie to capture both drug testing and workers’ comp business from clients that had not previously used the clinic’s services.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic ASAP Clinical Trial Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2016
In 2015, Guthrie implemented Epic ASAP within its Clinical Trial Management environment to support clinical research scheduling and protocol workflows. The deployment targeted the health system's clinical operations and research coordination functions across Guthrie, a 6500 employee United States healthcare organization. Epic ASAP was configured to support study scheduling, patient visit tracking, and protocol workflow orchestration consistent with Clinical Trial Management functionality. Configuration work emphasized aligning Epic ASAP with clinical documentation workflows, embedding visit templates and structured data capture for research encounters. The implementation integrated Epic ASAP with Epic Clinical Documentation and Epic Willow modules to maintain a unified EHR surface for research visits, clinical notes, and medication records. Those integrations aligned documentation, medication and scheduling data streams so research encounter records remained cohesive across Epic ASAP and the broader Epic environment. Governance and operational ownership were led by an internal EPIC Clinical Lead Application Analyst based in Sayre Pennsylvania, a role certified in EPIC Clinical Documentation and EPIC ASAP modules and responsible for configuration, change control, and end user support. Rollout emphasized application configuration standards, analyst-driven tuning, and operational alignment between clinical documentation teams and research coordinators.
