In 2022, HOBNOB implemented Kickfin Payment Processing to automate tip pooling across its Atlanta locations. The deployment targeted a payroll and finance use case in the United States, focused on eliminating manual cash tip-outs and spreadsheet reconciliation across multiple restaurant sites. Implementation scope covered shift-level payout orchestration and centralized tip reporting for the operator's Atlanta footprint.
Kickfin was integrated with the Toast POS to ingest tip transactions, centralize tip data, and drive automated pool calculations. The implementation included configuration of tip pooling rules, shift-level reconciliation workflows, and electronic cashless payout rails, replacing spreadsheets and manual cash tip-outs with automated disbursement processes. These configurations leveraged Kickfin Payment Processing capabilities to capture POS tip events and execute immediate staff payouts.
Governance and operational workflows were restructured to consolidate tip management under finance and payroll processes, reducing manual reconciliation steps and standardizing payout cadence across sites. The project produced immediate cashless payouts, eliminated cumbersome spreadsheets, and improved equitable tip distribution while saving more than an hour per shift across locations.
