In 2020, Hope for Haiti implemented BambooHR Onboarding to centralize applicant tracking and onboarding across the United States and Haiti. The BambooHR Onboarding deployment served as the nonprofit's primary HR onboarding solution, unifying candidate intake, offer workflows, e-signature processing, and reporting.
Functional configuration emphasized applicant tracking, e-signatures, candidate experience, and reporting capabilities within BambooHR Onboarding. Workflows were configured to support contractor intake and new-hire initiation, aligning onboarding checklists, required documentation, and role assignments to HR and talent acquisition processes.
The operational rollout covered HR operations in both the United States and Haiti, enabling the organization to scale onboarding rapidly during crisis response. Following the August 2021 earthquake Hope for Haiti onboarded 96 contractors and grew from approximately 73 to approximately 160 employees within weeks, as documented in the BambooHR case study.
Governance centralized ownership of hiring workflows in the nonprofit's HR function, standardizing forms, approvals, and e-signature steps to improve candidate experience and reporting cadence. The implementation positions BambooHR Onboarding as the core Onboarding platform supporting HR and talent acquisition across dual-country operations.
