Oracle E-Business Suite was configured to support Accounts Receivable workflows and to integrate billing transaction streams into the corporate accounting ledger, with the new billing system created by IDT incorporated directly into the Oracle Accounting System. Functional capabilities included invoicing, A/R aging and collections coordination, and transaction posting to the general ledger in the Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial environment, with processes instrumented for daily reconciliation of high volume billings.
Operational integration was carried out through collaboration between the Billing Scrum team, corporate technology resources, and the parent company, enabling daily reconciliation of billings exceeding 30 million dollars. Governance and workflow changes centered on centralized reconciliation and close coordination between the retail finance organization, the CFO of the retail division, distributors, sales managers, and direct sales teams to align billing, collections, and accounting controls within Oracle E-Business Suite.
The implementation positioned Oracle E-Business Suite as the transactional accounting platform for IDT Corporation Retail, with explicit configuration for accounts receivable and billing integration, and formal collaboration patterns established for ongoing billing reconciliation and system enhancement.
