| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Jabil implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable as an AP Automation deployment to standardize accounts payable processing across its finance organization. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable was used to centralize invoice intake, manage exceptions, and support supplier communication within Jabil accounts payable operations.
The implementation leveraged Serrala AP assistant capabilities to support invoice triage and exception workflows, and included a report on shelf items with holds to surface invoices blocked for review. Processing workflows were configured to handle invoices across both Serrala and SAP, enabling validation and invoice processing in the Serrala platform alongside SAP posting routines.
Integrations included SAP for invoice posting and ledger validation, and the deployment used Serrala Direct contact processes to route verification requests to buyers for purchase order confirmation. Operational coverage focused on accounts payable and procure to pay interactions, linking AP workflows with buyer verification and procurement touch points.
Governance centered on hold reporting and buyer verification workflows, with operational ownership assigned to accounts payable and procurement functions to manage invoice holds and PO validation. Configuration emphasis was on AP assistant workflow orchestration, hold reporting, and reconciliation procedures between Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable and SAP.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Jabil deployed Workday Absence Management as part of a broader Absence and Leave Management initiative, extending its global Workday HCM estate to standardize time off and absence processes. This implementation followed Jabil’s December 2018 global Workday HCM go live with Deloitte and aligned absence capabilities with existing Core HR, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, and Performance modules in the same tenant.
Workday Absence Management was configured to deliver employee and manager selfservice for vacation requests and time sheet transactions, centralized absence plan definitions, eligibility rules and accrual calculations, and automated approval workflows. The deployment included absence reporting and analytics capabilities designed to surface trends at site and country levels, and the Workday Absence Management configuration leveraged the platform’s global security and business process framework to enforce local policy variations.
Operational coverage for the solution encompassed Jabil’s global workforce of over 200,000 employees and contingent workers across more than 100 sites and 30 countries, including deeper local validation work in China, Mexico, Austria, and Italy. Absence data was unified with in‑tenant payroll, recruiting and compensation datasets within Workday HCM to enable cross-functional reporting, and Jabil identified integration of human capital data into other company systems for future predictive analytics and modeling as the next step.
Governance and process changes emphasized centralized visibility, standardized data collection, and annual compensation governance to improve forecasting of bonuses and salary increases. The centralized absence capability supported compliance with varied local reporting requirements, provided enhanced turnover analytics for HR and managers, and contributed to reduced transactional HR workload so HR professionals could focus on higher value activities, while improving productivity and lowering operational cost pressures.
