In 2023, JetBlue implemented InvoiceWorks from onPhase as an AP Automation solution for its Accounts Payable team in the United States. The deployment targeted automation of invoice processing and the rollout of dynamic discounting at scale, handling approximately 51,000 invoices per month during steady state.
The implementation centered on invoice capture and classification, optical character recognition and automated data extraction, automated validation and exception routing, workflow-based approval orchestration and a dynamic discounting capability to capture early payment savings. Configuration emphasized touchless processing and straight-through processing rules to maximize automation of routine invoice flows and to enable supplier discount pathways.
Operational coverage focused on JetBlue Accounts Payable operations across the United States, with the system processing the full invoice volume reported in the case study and supporting supplier payment interactions tied to dynamic discounting. Functional impact includes accounts payable invoice intake, invoice validation, approval routing and supplier discount capture workflows.
Governance and outcomes were tied to measured automation metrics from the deployment, InvoiceWorks achieved an approximately 89% touchless processing rate and the dynamic discounting program captured $3 million in supplier discounts after deployment. The case study positions InvoiceWorks as the operational platform for AP Automation and supplier discounting within JetBlue's US accounts payable environment.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 JetBlue implemented SAP HCM Benefits as its Benefits Administration application. The implementation anchored Benefits Administration capabilities within SAP HCM Benefits to support open enrollment and dependent eligibility processes, aligning benefits configuration with HR and Airport Programs reporting functions.
Configuration and functional scope emphasized open enrollment process management, test scripting and data selection for SAP HCM Benefits, backend process design for Open Enrollment 2013, and eligibility rule configuration. Ancillary automation work included MS Access database design to support Flexible Work Arrangements pilots, 401k processing support, FSA tracking and reporting, and a Benefits customer service tracking and reporting tool.
Operational integration relied on structured file-based interfaces and weekly interface file auditing to maintain data flow between benefits processes and operational reporting. The rollout and operational coverage crossed Benefits Strategy, Airport Programs, and HR reporting teams, and included coordination activity for Domestic Station Start-Ups where project governance intersected with station-level stakeholders and general managers.
Program governance used a co-project manager model with weekly calls, stakeholder liaison, a Station Start-Up SharePoint site, and weekly reporting to Business Partners and Senior Leadership. The team participated in the RFP process and successfully managed the Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit from initiation through completion, while maintaining ongoing open enrollment testing and benefits process redesign activities within SAP HCM Benefits.

| Lufthansa Systems AG | Legacy | Lufthansa Systems NetLine/Plan | Flight Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025 JetBlue selected Lufthansa Systems NetLine/Plan, adopting NetLine/Plan as its Flight Management solution to support the carrier's JetForward network strategy. JetBlue is the first U.S. airline to implement NetLine/Plan. The solution is delivered as a cloud-hosted SaaS in the Global Aviation Cloud from Lufthansa Systems, providing a centralized network planning platform. Deployment is targeted at network planning and commercial route strategy teams with emphasis on Transatlantic market planning enabled by JetBlue's A321LR and A321XLR fleet.
NetLine/Plan implementation focuses on advanced network planning capabilities such as multi-scenario modeling, route and schedule optimization, capacity and frequency analysis, and demand-driven scenario comparison. Configuration emphasizes operational agility and data-driven decision-making, enabling planners to run competing market scenarios and identify optimal network scenarios in highly competitive conditions. The deployment leverages NetLine/Plan's scenario engine and optimization workflows to align route choices with commercial strategy.
This selection expands JetBlue's use of Lufthansa Systems solutions following the earlier implementation of Lido SkyData, creating continuity across flight planning and network analytics capabilities. Delivered from the Global Aviation Cloud, NetLine/Plan centralizes planning artifacts and supports cross-functional collaboration between commercial planning, network operations, and revenue management. The cloud-hosted model positions JetBlue to iterate planning scenarios without on-premise infrastructure changes.
Governance is framed around the JetForward strategy, with the tool intended to standardize planning workflows and to support decision governance for route entry and transatlantic growth choices. JetBlue and Lufthansa Systems indicate the state of the art tool will help the airline enhance operational efficiency and identify optimal network scenarios, reinforcing the carrier's commercial evolution.
